Bring Back the Midwives

It has been over two years since women on the Outer Banks have had the benefit of full-time midwives trained in normal, gentle, and safe childbirth. The newly created Outer Banks Birth Network wants to be a resource for women as well as a supporter of midwives both in and out of the hospital setting. With this in mind we are launching our network by petitioning the Outer Banks Hospital and its affiliated practices to immediately hire experienced Certified Nurse Midwives to provide the full scope of women's health care as well as 24-hour, seven-day-a-week childbirth coverage.
